Shared Hosting Service Policy

Irides agrees to provide:

  • Industry comparable uptime in a secure hosting environment

  • 7 Day a week US-based phone support

    • 7 AM – 5 PM M – F
    • 7 AM – 5 PM Sa - Su
  • Email support at support@irides.com

  • Access Anywhere account web portal with

    • Invoice Management
    • Service Management
  • Prorated service credits for downtime upon request

We will provide assistance to you for all your hosting related technical and billing questions. We commit to resolve your technical and service issues in a professional and timely manner.

As a client you agree to:

  • Provide a primary email address for invoices and correspondence.

  • Provide the names of those who are able to make technical and billing changes to your service and remove names of those who are no longer authorized.

  • Provide a major credit card to pay for service.

  • Pre-pay for regular service and at the next scheduled billing date for metered service such as excess bandwidth usage.

  • When there is a payment problem, resolve it with 30 days.
    Irides will automatically suspend any account that is more than 30 days past due and will permanently delete an account when 60 days past due. 30 day past due accounts are subject to a 5% late fee.

  • Restrict email message sizes to no more than 20MB.

Irides support both forwarding and auto-respond services for incoming email to your account. Please note that for the protection of all our clients all accounts that use this service are subject to mandatory spam filtering.

As a client you agree not to:

  • Publish or store content or facilitate transfer of content that reasonable review would determine to be illegal, obscene, classified or otherwise inappropriate.

  • Use Irides hosting for illegal purposes, including but not limited to copyright infringement

  • Use any Irides service in an effort to defraud (including, but not limited to falsifying email headers), destroy, spam (unsolicited commercial or other email), “infect” or otherwise “hack” other computers or websites

  • Implement any mailing configuration that puts full service capacity at risk for other shared clients, including but not limited to nested mailing lists, “catchall” email accounts and/or 3rd party listservs configured with an Irides hosted email account as a the reply or “bounce” recipient

Special Circumstances; Notice of Termination; Domain Name Policy

  • Irides reserves the right to terminate any Irides service used in a consistently detrimental manner after providing 48 hour notice to that effect. In these instances a copy of all customer content will be prepared and made available upon written request and receipt of a backup handling charge of $125.

  • In special circumstances not addressed by any of the above provisions, Irides reserves the right to exercise its own judgment in the handling of that circumstance, including but not limited to the right to refuse or terminate service without notice.

  • For convenience’s sake, Irides encourages customers to allow Irides to be the administrative contact for domain name registration purposes. This is not, however, mandatory. In instances where Irides IS the administrative contact, Irides will:

    • Provide, as necessary, 30 and final day notice of expiration of domain names under our administration

    • Unconditionally turn over domain name administration to the appropriate Irides customer upon written request from authorized Irides account contacts

    • NOT renew, register or transfer any domain name without express written instruction from the appropriate Irides customer.

Irides Spam Policy

Irides maintains a Zero Tolerance policy regarding spam. Any Unsolicited Commercial Email (“spam”) originating in, sent through or referencing in any way our network or a website hosted on our network is strictly prohibited. Violators of this policy will have their websites immediately purged from our datacenter without recompense or recovery of content. Spamming incidents resulting in server or network downtime will result in a termination for cause fee of $500.00 due immediately.

Irides Disclaimer

Irides allows a great deal of flexibility in uploading of content to our servers, however does not support nor guarantee the compatibility or functionality of any customer web content or third party software placed on our servers. Furthermore, an Irides web hosting will provide internet connectivity for a customer’s website but does not provide internet access to the customer themselves.

Irides is not responsible for service failures as a result of Acts-of-God, coordinated Denial of Service (DoS) attacks or outages as a result of specific customer action, however will work diligently to resolve any outage as quickly as possible. Irides makes every effort to educate as we support our customers about their service, but is not responsible for adverse shared hosting experience as a result of actions by another customer in the shared environment that could not reasonably have been prevented.

All Irides Shared Hosting Services are nonrefundable, paid in advance subscriptions. Credit for service downtime may be applied only to invoices for future hosting service.
