Systems Administration
Irides provides its clients customized administration of their servers to meet individual customer requirements. An Irides managed hosting customer can expect the following Server Administration functions:
- Irides’ engineers proactively monitor key aspects of your server’s performance and
provide customized monthly reports on scalability, capacity, vulnerabilities and usage.
- Web server administration includes tasks such as adding/deleting domains, adding/deleting passwords, and server module support.
- Mail server administration includes tasks such as adding and deleting users, mail forwarding, auto responders, and monitoring usage.
- Customized content monitoring can be implemented with services tested for a pre-determined response.
- Script registration can be implemented to regularly check scripts for updates and notify Irides engineering when new releases are available.
OS and Application Updates and Patches
Vendor recommended updates and patches to Operating Systems and vendor-supplied applications will be applied on a regular schedule. Hot fixes are applied immediately.
Preferences and reports can be viewed in the Account Center.
Server Analysis
Daily Log File rotation and analysis, weekly full server check, disk usage check, and root
and postmaster mail check.
Server Maintenance Log
View reports and details of all maintenance and administration performed on your server.
Remote Reboot
Irides' fully managed customers are given access to a secure web interface which allows
them to cycle power to their server. Clients with Remote Reboot capabilities can quickly
recover from any situation that requires a server to be rebooted.
