Backup and Restoration Service
Irides' backup and restoration service offers insurance against data loss due to accident, hardware failure or disaster. In
the unlikely event of data loss, we provide fast, accurate data recovery. Irides' backup uses equipment and software
from leading data protection providers to safeguard your business-critical information.
- Our servers are configured with at least two NICs, one connected to the front-facing public network and the other to our "backnet" to provide fast, uninterrupted backups. The backnet ensures that backup and restores do not affect the primary activities of the server.
- Backups are centralized using Quantum tape libraries and Bakbone Netvault software
- Full backups are done weekly followed by daily incremental or differentials
- Tapes are kept on-site for 30 days, moved off-site to a secure facility for another 60 days and then overwritten
- Special handling is available for Microsoft Exchange (including brick-level backups if required), SQL, Oracle and virtual machines
